Strong Schools Begin with Strong Communities

Public education is about more than classrooms—it is about people.

Strong schools are built through meaningful relationships between students, families, educators, support staff, volunteers, local organizations, and the wider community. When we work together, we create environments where children feel supported, valued, and inspired to succeed.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working alongside people who are deeply committed to helping children thrive. Those experiences have reinforced my belief that some of the best ideas come from listening, learning, and working together.

As your School Board Trustee, I am committed to being present, approachable, and engaged in the communities I serve.

Listening First

I believe effective leadership begins with listening.

Every family has a unique story. Every educator brings valuable experience. Every student deserves to have their voice considered.

I am committed to listening with curiosity, respect, and an open mind because thoughtful decisions are built on understanding the people they affect.

Whether we agree or disagree, I believe every conversation deserves respect, and every voice deserves to be heard.

Community Involvement

Serving my community has always been an important part of who I am.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of:

  • Serving as Chair of the Anne Hathaway Public School Council, working alongside families, educators, and community partners to strengthen opportunities for students.

  • Coordinating Stratford Minor Baseball Association's Blastball Program for the past four years, helping introduce young children to sport while fostering confidence, inclusion, teamwork, and a love of being active.

  • Volunteering in local schools and community initiatives that support children and families.

  • Teaching and mentoring future educators at the college level.

  • Supporting educators and school communities across Ontario through professional learning, consulting, and speaking engagements.

  • Partnering with child care organizations, municipalities, and community groups to create opportunities where children and youth can thrive.

These experiences have reinforced my belief that strong schools don't exist in isolation—they are strengthened by engaged families, dedicated educators, volunteers, and community organizations working together.

Building Relationships

Students thrive when schools, families, educators, and communities work together.

As trustee, I want to continue building relationships based on trust, collaboration, and mutual respect.

I believe every interaction is an opportunity to strengthen our schools and ensure students remain at the centre of every decision.

I'd love the opportunity to meet you.

Whether you're a parent, caregiver, student, educator, education worker, volunteer, or community member, I welcome your questions, ideas, and perspectives.

Together, we can build strong schools where every learner has the opportunity to grow, belong, and succeed.
