Bringing Child Development to Every Board Decision

As a registered Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT), Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE), School Council Chair, college professor, and community advocate, I have dedicated my career to helping children, families, and educators thrive.

I am running for School Board Trustee with the Avon Maitland District School Board because I believe every student deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive in a safe, inclusive and supportive school environment.

Why I’m Running

Every decision we make should begin with one question: What is in the best interest of students? I believe children should remain at the heart of every conversation, every policy, and every decision.

Throughout my career, I have worked alongside students, families, educators, and community organizations. Those experiences have reinforced my belief that students thrive when schools, families, educators, and communities work together. That is why I am running for School Board Trustee. I believe thoughtful leadership, collaboration, and strong governance can help every learner succeed.

  • Trustees are elected to provide thoughtful leadership, not day-to-day management of schools. My role is to listen, ask informed questions, review evidence, and make decisions that support student achievement, well-being, and the long-term success of public education. I am committed to transparency, accountability, and responsible stewardship of public resources while working collaboratively with fellow trustees and board leadership.
